Kano Woman Stabs Boyfriend, Severs Manhood Completely
A woman has been arrested in Kano State after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend and completely cutting off his manhood during a violent altercation in the Badawa area.
The Kano State Police Command confirmed the incident in a statement released on Monday, July 27, 2026. Officers said the female suspect was taken into custody following the attack, while the victim sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital.
According to the police, the assault occurred amid a heated dispute. Detectives have opened a full investigation to establish the exact circumstances that led to the brutal attack.
“The Kano State Police Command has arrested a female suspect for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend and completely cutting off his manhood during a violent altercation in Badawa,” the statement read.
Authorities added that the victim remains under medical care as inquiries continue.
The case has drawn attention as the latest in a series of similar domestic violence incidents reported across Nigeria in recent years.

A June 2024 incident in Kaduna saw neighbours intervene before a newlywed woman could complete a similar attack on her husband.
Police have not released the names of the suspect or the victim in the Kano case, nor have they disclosed any possible motive beyond the violent confrontation itself. Investigations remain ongoing, and further details are expected as the probe advances.
The incident underscores ongoing concerns about domestic violence and the need for timely intervention in relationship disputes across the country.
